Community and business leaders from around the area joined Chattahoochee Technical College’s Center for Corporate and Professional Education at the North Metro Campus on Friday, May 6, for Leadercast 2016 – the world’s largest one-day leadership event.
Leadercast exists to positively change the way the world thinks about leadership. This year’s theme – Architects of Tomorrow – focused on what it means to be a visionary leader and explored how visionary leaders have the ability to see a preferred future, operate in the present and utilize the resources around them to architect a clear path to a new destination.
The event, a brand that builds “Leaders Worth Following,” was broadcast live from Atlanta to more than 100,000 people worldwide, including those at Chattahoochee Technical College. The 2015 simulcast featured the following speakers:
- Andy Stanley, leadership author and communicator;
- Chris Barez-Brown, author and creativity guru;
- Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple
- Kat Cole, group president of Focus Brands;
- Dr. Henry Cloud, leadership expert, psychologist and best-selling author;
- Nick Saban, head football coach at The University of Alabama;
- James Brown, CBS Sports & News broadcaster;
- Commander Rorke Denver, Navy SEAL Commander and author; and
- Tripp Crosby, comedian, director and the host of Leadercast 2016.
At the event, attendees Makenzie Brooks and Chris Goethe, both with Primrose Schools won seats in the Leadership Academy this fall. Chattahoochee Technical College’s Leadership Academy allows supervisors and managers to further refine their skills and techniques to lead their organizations to new heights. Another individual, Greg Campbell with Fastenal, won a copy of Dr. Henry Cloud’s “The Power of the Other.”
