(Marietta, Ga. – Sept. 12, 2016)
Thousands of students in the metro-Atlanta area were displaced earlier this month after ITT Technical Institute announced that it would be shutting down all of its campuses. Chattahoochee Technical College is now looking to help those students reach their career goals by hosting several information sessions at the college’s North Metro and Marietta campuses on Sept. 23 and Oct. 14.
Director of Student Outreach and Recruitment Stephanie Meyer said former ITT Tech students interested in attending Chattahoochee Technical College for the spring semester will learn about the college’s admissions process, financial aid and programs of study. Additionally, Chattahoochee Technical College is waiving application fees for students who provide a copy of their unofficial transcripts from ITT Technical Institute and will allow for up to three exemption tests at no cost.
“Chattahoochee Technical College is committed to assisting all students in reaching their career goals. During the information sessions, former ITT Tech students will be able to meet with a member of the college’s staff to talk about where they are in their programs, their financial aid status and how they can apply for free. Program faculty members will also be on hand to assist in answering questions and providing direction,” Meyer said.
The first round of information sessions will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, at the Marietta Campus in the F Building (room F1129) as well as at 10 a.m. at the North Metro Campus in the B Building (room B214). Afternoon sessions will be held at 2 p.m., on Sept. 23, at the same locations.
Information sessions will also be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, at the Marietta Campus in the F Building (room F1129) as well as at 10 a.m. at the North Metro Campus in the B Building (room B214.) Afternoon sessions will be held at 2 p.m., on Oct. 14, at the same locations.
