The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations recently honored Chattahoochee Technical College’s Marketing Team with three first-place Medallion Awards. These awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges in District 2. It’s the only organization of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.
“These award-winning efforts reflect well on our talented team of professionals who are passionate about communicating the students’ experiences and demonstrating how Chattahoochee Technical College can transform the lives of students in our communities,” CTC Executive Director for Marketing, Digital Media and Recruitment DeeDee Doeckel said.
The awards won by Georgia’s largest technical college were three Gold Medallion awards in the categories of Annual Report, Online Newsletter and Innovation in Technology.

CTC Director of Marketing Kim Crowe said the annual report stood out to the judges for its overall design concept and the easy to read infographics used as well as the high quality matte paper. The online newsletter, which is primarily for the college’s internal audience of faculty and staff, also won for its graphics as well as the quality of the writing. The Innovation in Technology award was given for the college’s social media advertising campaign on Twitter and Facebook, which had exceptional results in the number of impressions and click-through rates.
The publications were judged by an independent panel on the criteria of project results, aesthetics, design quality and techniques.
NCMPR District 2 is comprised of community colleges in 11 Southeastern states, along with the Bahamas and Bermuda.
