With a shared passion for the arts, talented student poets and several Chattahoochee Technical College employees recently came together to participate in Visions of Verse – a poetry reading event held at the college’s Appalachian Campus.

“When someone hears the words ‘poetry reading,’ they immediately groan,” part-time Adult Education instructor Clifford Brooks said.

That wasn’t the case during Visions of Verse – the audience laughed and encouraged the poets through applause and focused concentration.

The event featured poetry presentations from faculty and staff, as well as GED and college students. Additional presenters included Scott Thomas Outlar, who is published in his own right; Holly Holt, an aide in Adult Education; and Tanner Burnette, a GED student.
