More than 450 students will graduate from Chattahoochee Tech in May

(Marietta, Ga. – April 15, 2013) This May more than 450 graduates of Georgia’s largest technical college will be honored in a ceremony at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Approximately 200 are expected to walk in the ceremony. Scheduled for Monday, May 13 at 10 a.m., the ceremony will honor those completing their programs of study during the spring semester, including 31 students who completed an associate of applied science or diploma program with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average.

Popular programs for graduates this term include Radiographic Technology, Accounting and Electrical/Computer Engineering Technology. More than 640 degrees, diplomas and certificates are expected to be awarded.

This semester’s graduation speaker will be Georgia Lt. Governor Casey Cagle. A native of Hall County, Cagle previously served as a state senator before being elected to the position of Lt. Governor in 2006 and re-elected in 2010. Since taking office, Cagle has focused many of his efforts to ensure all children in Georgia have access to a personalized educational environment suited for their individual talents and needs. Additionally, he launched the Georgia College and Career Academy Network, a partnership between local community leaders, school systems and Georgia’s technical colleges.
