Chattahoochee Technical College’s faculty, staff and students on Wednesday showed their appreciation for local veterans during an annual Veterans Day dinner, titled “A Time to Remember.” Hosted by Business Management instructor Diane Petty’s Project Management class and CTC Veteran Services, the dinner was an opportunity to give back to and hear from those who served.

“We are thankful for our veterans every day and recognize the sacrifices they have made to serve our country,” Petty said. This dinner is a way to say ‘thank you’ and show that Chattahoochee Tech truly cares about our veterans.”

The event, held on the North Metro Campus, included guest speakers Patricia Ross, director of military affairs for the Technical College System of Georgia, and Judge Reuben Green, who serves on the Cobb County Superior Court and began the Cobb Veterans Court in 2014. Both speakers are veterans themselves, with Ross serving 25 years in the Air Force and Green serving in the Marines immediately prior to becoming appointed to his position.

Beyond amassing a population of student veterans, CTC is also home to 50 employees who have served in the military.
