Chattahoochee Technical College health science students at the Appalachian Campus got an up close and personal look at the human anatomy on Monday, Nov. 16, during a visit to the cadaver lab at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Department of Biomedical Science, located in Suwanee, Ga.
Students in both the Licensed Practical Nursing and Medical Assisting programs viewed everything from the human heart and brain to the musculoskeletal system while engaging in three different stations set up in the lab.
Students said they enjoyed how everything that they witnessed correlated to what they have been learning about in their programs.
“It really helped to put things into a better perspective for them and was a great learning experience,” Associate Dean of Health Sciences Kathleen Bombery said.
